POLICE WEEK 2025: CELEBRATING SAFETY & CONNECTION IN AKWESASNE
The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service (AMPS) will be celebrating Police Week from May 9–16, 2025. During this time we honor the strong partnerships between police, first responders, community organizations, and the people they proudly serve.
Police Week is a time to recognize the collective efforts that form the foundation of community safety. Through collaboration, education, and respect, we can build safer, stronger communities for everyone. It’s also an opportunity to thank the dedicated officers, dispatchers, firefighters, EMS, and community members who work hard every day to make Akwesasne a safer place to live.
Throughout the week, AMPS and our community partners will be hosting a variety of events including youth engagement activities, safety demonstrations, and community meals. We’re especially excited to unveil the new AMPS mascot at the Cornwall Open House on May 14 – don’t miss it!
Let’s come together to celebrate, connect, and continue building trust and safety across Akwesasne.
