IAKHIHSOHTHA LODGE SUSPENDING VISITATION DUE TO POSSIBLE COVID-19 EXPOSURE

The MCA’s Department of Health (DOH) has received notification of a possible positive COVID-19 exposure at Iakhihsohtha Lodge. As a precaution, and for the health and safety of our residents, Iakhihsohtha will be suspending visitation at this time due to a possible exposure.

Our team continues to ensure enhanced infection prevention and control measures remain in place, such as symptom screening our residents and staff team members, a minimum of twice daily, terminal cleaning of high-touch surfaces, ensuring that our staff are wearing masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) along with revisiting our infection prevention and control protocols to ensure they are being strictly adhered to.

MCA extends its sincere wishes and a speedy recovery to all those infected with COVID-19, as well as appreciation to those isolating and quarantining to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 at our long-term care. We thank our frontline healthcare staff for their care and dedication to our most precious resources: our Totas.
