MASK MANDATE WITHIN MCA JURISDICTION STILL IN EFFECT

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health (DOH) is reminding the community that the mask mandate is still in effect within the MCA jurisdiction. The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne follows the Eastern Ontario Health Unit’s (EOHU) mandates, and masks are still required when in public areas, which includes MCA buildings and facilities.

Regardless of your vaccination status, masks are still required when in public settings, such as MCA office buildings and businesses in the northern portion of Akwesasne. Social distancing of up to 6-feet is still being followed when in public as well. Please continue to adhere to the public health measures that have been put in place, as they were developed to keep our community safe.
