MCA REPORTS THIRTY-FIVE NEW POSITIVE PCR/RAPID CASES OF COVID-19

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Community Health Program reports thirty-five (35) positive cases of COVID-19 in the northern portion of the community as of April 13, 2022.

Current COVID-19 Statistics for the Northern Portion of Akwesasne:
Current Positive Cases: 35
Total COVID-Related Passings: 12

If an individual is symptomatic, it is recommended that individuals have either two (2) negative home rapid antigen tests (RAT) taken 24-48 hours apart or a negative COVID-19 PCR test.  Symptomatic individuals should remain isolated until their symptoms have resolved for at least 24 hours for respiratory symptoms and 48 hours for gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea). COVID-19 positive individuals should continue to follow public health guidance on isolation times, as they vary based on age and COVID-vaccination status.
