Snowmobile Racing
The racing season at Akwesasne doesn’t end with stock cars finals. At Akwesasne, Snowmobile racing has gained a large following in the past few years, inspired in part by the success of its summer racing counterparts — stockcar racing. Akwesasne has long been home to many successful stockcar racers, and snowmobile racing is quickjly gaining popularity among those with the need for speed. One young Akwesasne snowmobile racer to look for is Louis Tahianoihrens Lazore III, grandson of MCA Tsi Snaihne District Chief Louis Lazore Sr.

Young Tahianoihrens, of Akwesasne, is 10 years old, and has been racing since he was eight. His interest in snowmobile racing was piqued by his late father, Louis Lazore Jr.,a snowmobile enthusiast and racer himself. Tahianoihrens will be racing on January 13th and 14th on the Rock Maple Racing (RMR) SnoX Circuit at the Malone, New York Fairgrounds, in the 120 Champs 6- 10 year old category. The RMR SnoX Circuit has been in existence for the last fifteen years, and holds races throughout New York State, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Pennsylvania.
The next RMR SnoX is in Verona, NY on December 16th and 17th. The RMR SNoX Circuit 2006/07 Schedule is as follows:
