- The garbage pick-up for the District of Kawehnoke will resume Friday, June 12, 2009.
- For the friends and family members who wish to pay their respects to the late Douglas Thompson, you may travel by boat and land at the property of the late John Sharrow or at Kenneth Sharrow’s property. From there, elders will be transported to the family home by a van. Please contact Natisha by calling (613) 930-1600 if you require this service to the wake. Also, for those of you who are utilizing the regular boating service from King’s Marina and Thomas’ Marina, you will be transported by van from the McCumber landing.
- Community members of Akwesasne that have Medical/Dental/Eye appointments in Cornwall/Ottawa or surrounding area are strongly urged to contact your Provider to reschedule or cancel appointments if you cannot make it. Should your appointment be of the "urgent nature" such as scheduled surgery, surgical follow-up, pre-natal, pre-op blood work, please contact the ANIHB office to make arrangements for transportation. You may contact Melissa Jacobs at (613) 575-2341 ext. 3301 or Cindy Francis-Mitchell ext. 3242 to coordinate your transportation to your appointment.
