AMPS & OPP TO CONDUCT AIR SEARCH TODAY FOR TWO MISSING MEN
The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service is notifying the community that on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, today, the Ontario Provincial Police will be assisting AMPS once again in a search of the local waterways for missing persons Donald “Do” Johnson and Kenneth Leaf. Community members will observe a helicopter in the air, flying at low altitudes. Do not be alarmed. AMPS will be on board the helicopter as well.
Today’s search will be centered in the Tsi Snaihne (Snye) region.
Donald “Do” Johnson was last seen on the afternoon of Friday, February 9, 2018, in Kana:takon (St. Regis). He may have been wearing black windbreaker pants with a red stripe, and a camouflage jacket.
Donald is 31 years old, approximate height of 5’2” and approximately 165 lbs. He has black hair worn short and has a dark complexion. He has a paralyzed left arm.
Kenneth Leaf, age 50, has not been seen since the weekend of January 13, 2018. He is 5’9”, approximately 230 lbs. and of heavy build. He has a bald/shaved head and dark facial hair (goatee). He may have been wearing a camouflage jacket and green Star Wars hat.
