CBSA Trial Update – Final Arguments Due July 16TH

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne would like to inform the community that the final arguments regarding the CBSA Test Case trial concerning Alicia Shenandoah and April Elaine Thompson will now take place in July.
The final written arguments are due July 16, 2015 and the final oral arguments are commencing on July 23, 2015.
All community members are encouraged to attend the trial in support of Akwesasne’s aboriginal and mobility rights, and to provide moral support to the two women who are being defended by the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne. The results of this case will impact the Akwesasne community in what we hope will be a positive manner.
