OVS POP-UP LOCATION FOR STATUS CARDS

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Office of Vital Statistics (OVS) will be offering a pop-up service location for status card renewals. Normally located on Kawehno:ke, OVS will be available in the District of Kana:takon for community members who want to renew their laminated status cards.

Join us on Wednesday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Regis Recreation Center. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. To schedule an appointment, please call 613-575-2250 ext. 1013 or email ovsclerk@akwesasne.ca. 

Please bring identification (such as a driver’s license or health card). The cost to renew is $10, or $5 if you hand in your expired card.

Please note: This session is not for ‘secure’ Certificate of Indian Status cards. A separate session will be offered at a later date.
