The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is seeking proposals from local caterers within each district of Akwesasne to provide holiday dinners for our community. Caterers will be responsible for providing meals that cater to a diverse population, accommodating special dietary needs such as vegetarian and gluten-free options. The meals are to be served in December in each of the districts of Kawehnò:ke, Kaná:takon and Tsi Snaíhne. Estimated need is for approximately 500 dinners in each district.
Meals should reflect traditional holiday dinners similar to those provided in previous years, including but not limited to:
- Ham and/or turkey
- Mashed potatoes
- Hash
- Gravy
- Stuffing
- A hot vegetable side dish
- A cold salad, such as macaroni or pasta salad
- Dinner rolls
- Cranberry sauce
- Dessert
- Beverages
Caterers are welcome to propose additional or alternative menu options. Meals must accommodate a diverse population, including individuals with special dietary needs, such as vegetarian and gluten-free options.
