NOTICE OF TENDER: WATERLINE SERVICE EXTENSION IN TSI SNAIHNE
DESCRIPTION:

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Infrastructure, Housing, and Environment (DIHE) is requesting quotes for waterline service extension work on Paul Cree Memorial Road in Tsi Snaihne, Akwesasne, QC.

Scope of Work:

  • Extend the existing 50mm diameter water service approximately 345m south.
  • Install new 50mm diameter and 25mm diameter water services to existing homes along the road.
  • Install curb stops and a 50mm diameter yard hydrant at lot A61-11.
  • Complete interior water service connections, including internal shut-off, backflow preventer, pressure reducing valve, pressure gauge, and a 0.5-gallon expansion tank.
  • Supply and install all approved watermain piping and appurtenances for the proposed work.
  • Existing submersible well pumps will be pulled, and wells decommissioned and capped under a separate project.

RFP: LEGAL COUNSEL SERVICES
DESCRIPTION:

The Akwesasne Justice Department is seeking qualified legal counsel to support the review, analysis, and amendment of existing laws within the Akwesasne jurisdiction. This initiative is rooted in our commitment to uphold natural justice and ensure our legal frameworks reflect the evolving needs and values of the Akwesasne community.

NOTICE OF TENDER: BLOCK 97 SEWAGE PUMPING STATION UPGRADES
DESCRIPTION:

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Infrastructure, Housing & Environment (DIHE) is inviting tenders for upgrades to a sewage pumping station on Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island).

The proposed work includes replacing failing appurtenances, integrating the station into the MCA’s SCADA system, increasing capacity to meet current and future flow conditions, and installing variable frequency drives for pump operation.

RFP: TRAUMA-INFORMED CULTURAL PROGRAMMING FOR YOUTH
DESCRIPTION:

The Akwesasne Family Wellness Program (AFWP) is seeking proposals from qualified facilitators, knowledge keepers, and organizations to deliver trauma-informed cultural programming for Akwesasró:non youth ages 0–24.

This initiative aims to strengthen identity, foster resilience, and create safe, healing-centered spaces for our youth through culturally relevant activities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Examples of Programming (not limited to):

  • Healing circles
  • Cultural crafts and traditional skills
  • Kanien’kéha (Mohawk language) classes
  • Storytelling, song, or traditional teachings
  • Land-based learning and outdoor activities

Applicants are asked to submit a proposal that includes:

  1. Program description – activities, intended outcomes, and how programming will be trauma-informed.
  2. Target age group(s) – specify if programming is for children, youth, young adults, or all.
  3. Facilitator qualifications/experience – highlight cultural knowledge, training, or relevant experience.
  4. Budget – including facilitator fees, materials, and other costs.
  5. Timeline – proposed schedule and duration of programming.

Eligibility:

  • Open to individual facilitators, community members, or organizations with demonstrated knowledge and experience in cultural and/or trauma-informed work with youth.
  • Must be able to deliver programming in the community of Akwesasne.

RFQ: EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICES
DESCRIPTION:

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is inviting proposals from qualified firms to provide external audit services. The audits will review MCA’s consolidated financial statements and related reports to ensure they fairly reflect the organization’s financial position in accordance with Canadian public sector accounting standards.

RFQ: MURAL PAINTING PROJECT FOR THE AKWESASNE MOHAWK POLICE SERVICE
DESCRIPTION:

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service invites Akwesasronon artists to submit a quote for the design and creation of a 6-foot by 6-foot mural on canvas. This mural will be installed in the AMPS lobby as a welcoming centerpiece that reflects our community partnership and organizational vision.

This plan outlines key priorities and goals to improve policing services, community engagement, organizational wellness and operational effectiveness within AMPS.

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, Akwesasne Representative and Advocacy Program, is requesting interested candidates to submit a proposal for legal services in the jurisdiction of Quebec. Interested candidates must be a member of the Barreau du Quebec, provide legal advice, legal support services, and assist the Akwesasne Representative and Advocacy Program (ARAP) in court proceedings involving child protection cases and issues.
