Thompson Island Cultural Camp

Thompson Island Cultural Camp

Thompson Island Cultural Camp (TICC) is a unique, eco-cultural retreat nestled along the banks of Kaniatarowanenneh, the St. Lawrence River. With breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere, the camp offers visitors an opportunity to reconnect with the land, waters, and traditions of Akwesasne.

Rooted in Kanien’kehá:ka knowledge, the camp features cultural activities such as canoeing, medicine walks, traditional cooking, and demonstrations that highlight our relationship with the natural world. Accommodations include bunkhouses and private cabins, and group retreats can be arranged with meals prepared on-site in the camp’s spacious kitchen and dining area. TICC is a place to gather, learn, and experience the spirit of Akwesasne in a land-based setting.

Open seasonally and by appointment.
