The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne invites tenders for the supply of heating fuel/fuel oil to MCA facilities for the 2026 heating season (January – April 2026).

Tender documents are available by contacting the MCA Department of Infrastructure, Housing & Environment (DIHE) via email: karla.ransom.dts@akwesasne.ca. 

All materials supplied must meet the specifications outlined in the accepted tender.

Tenderers must provide proof of the following:

• Canadian insurance, including Certificates of Insurance for Liability, Vehicles, and Environmental Liability
• Valid Workers Compensation Certificate (CSST/WSIB)
• Copy of Certified Oil Burner Technician license
• A detailed Written Procedures Checklist for a Health and Safety Program

Quoted prices must remain fixed for the duration of the heating season. Please note that the heating months have been adjusted for the remainder of the season.

Thompson Island Cultural Camp (TICC), is seeking quotes from local craftspeople to create hand drums and drumsticks that visiting youth will use at overnight camps for their social evenings. 

Items Requested:

• Two (2) hand drums (16” diameter) with drumsticks.
  • The hand drums should be similar to the reference photo provided in the graphic.
• Six (6) powwow drumsticks (16” - 24” in length).

Please include photos of previous work with your quote submission.

The Akwesasne Justice Department is seeking proposals from qualified candidates to provide legal services. Applicants must be members in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario or Le Barreau du Québec.

The Akwesasne Justice Department is mandated to deliver a comprehensive justice system that includes accessible legal services for the community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the AJD team, demonstrating commitment, energy, and professionalism while providing legal services to members of Akwesasne.

Proponents must possess extensive knowledge of legislative development, the community of Akwesasne, First Nations legal and cultural issues, and the structure and operations of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne.

The MCA Department of Health is seeking proposals from qualified and licensed Chiropodists or Podiatrists to provide preventative and therapeutic foot care, education, and assessments to community members at MCA health facilities. The successful proponent will support holistic, culturally safe, and community-based healthcare.
