DAY 3 UPDATE: TSI SNAIHNE SEARCH OPERATIONS CONTINUE

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service (AMPS) continues its operations in Tsi Snaihne (Snye) following the previously reported incident.

At this time, no persons have been officially reported missing. However, at this time as a result of the investigation, there remains a concern that an individual may still be in the water.

Search efforts will resume today, AMPS Marine units will be assisted by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) Dive Team.

Yesterday’s coordinated response included ongoing ground, water, and aerial search efforts with the assistance of the Hogansburg Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Sûreté du Québec.

Community members can expect to see a continued presence of emergency responders in the area.

The community is asked to exercise caution and remain clear of active search areas. We are thankful to the community members that have provided information related to this investigation.
