DAY 4 UPDATE: WATER SEARCH & INVESTIGATION ONGOING

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service (AMPS) is continuing its investigation and has resumed water search operations this afternoon in relation to the ongoing incident. 

Today’s operations include on-water search efforts, supported by aerial assistance from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).  

Persons of interest have been identified and are currently being sought for questioning.

AMPS extends its appreciation to community members who have come forward with information to assist in this investigation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact AMPS Central Dispatch at 613-575-2000 or submit tips by email at tips@akwesasne.ca. 

Tips may also be submitted anonymously through the Ontario Crime Stoppers program. Trained staff receive and securely forward information to the appropriate police service, ensuring your identity remains protected.
