2026 AKWESASNE ANNUAL ROADSIDE CLEANUP

Join the MCA Environment Program as we come together to celebrate Earth Day by giving back to our community and showing care for Mother Earth. 

This year’s Annual Roadside Cleanup brings a fun twist, a friendly Battle of the Districts! Each district will compete to see who can collect the most, earning bragging rights for the year. Challenge your friends, family, and coworkers to get involved and help your district come out on top! 

Cleanup Schedule: 

Monday, April 20, 2026 (Kawehno:ke)
📍Registration: A'nowara’ko:wa Arena
🕑10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (Kana:takon)
📍Registration: Kana:takon Recreation
🕑10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  

Wednesday, April 22, 2026 (Tsi Snaihne)
📍Registration: Tsi Snaihne Recreation
🕑10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 

All cleanup supplies will be provided at registration, along with an event t-shirt (while supplies last). Participants who register will also be entered into a daily prize draw at the end of each cleanup day. 

There is no pre-registration required – simply come by your district’s registration table and join in! 

Safety Reminder:

Please use caution while cleaning up. Do not pick up needles or any suspicious materials. Report them to the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service for proper handling
