AKWESASNE GIRLS SKATE DAY 2026

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is excited to invite the community to Akwesasne Girls Skate Day 2026, hosted by Akwesasró:non Melani Arquette and Kemptville’s Ashlynn Barrett Tucker. 🛹

📍 36 Arena Road, Akwesasne, ON (Kawehno:ke) 

Come out and celebrate girls, skateboarding, and community at this fun-filled afternoon for all skill levels! 

The day will feature skate lessons, games, a mini ramp contest, awesome prizes, and music by DJ Crystal Stehlin. Enjoy a special performance by Feryn King, capture the moment with skater portraits by Jaiden Mitchell, and get creative at the tie-dye workshop with Tihanna Benedict (please bring a white t-shirt or another item you’d like to tie-dye). There will also be time for a mental health break and plenty of opportunities to connect, learn, and have fun.
