AMPS CELEBRATES HOLIDAY SEASON AT CORNWALL SANTA CLAUS PARADE

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service, including general patrol, SAVE Team members, and administrative staff, was proud to join Cornwall’s annual Santa Claus Parade and showcase the decorated Marine Unit for the community.

This long-standing tradition has welcomed Santa to Cornwall for more than 50 years, and AMPS was honoured to take part in the festivities once again.

The parade took place on Saturday, November 15, starting from St. Lawrence Intermediate School and concluding on Augustus Street. Following the parade, attendees were welcomed at the Civic Complex with hot chocolate, hot dogs, and the announcement of this year’s judging results, with shuttle service provided by Cornwall Transit.

This year’s theme, “What is Christmas?”, encouraged everyone to reflect on 54 years of holiday memories, traditions, and community spirit.

AMPS was grateful for the opportunity to connect with community members and celebrate the start of the holiday season.

Niawenhkó:wa/Thank you to the organizers, community members, and everyone who came out to enjoy the parade.

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service remains committed to building positive relationships within the community and our neighbours.
