IMPORTANT UPDATE ON HOME VISIT FOOT CARE SERVICES

The MCA Department of Health’s Clinical Care Services Sector is proud to provide foot care services to the community through both clinic appointments and home visits. To ensure the continued delivery of safe, high-quality care, Sector 4 would like to clarify the eligibility criteria for home visit appointments.

Currently, home visits are reserved for individuals who:

• Have limited mobility
• Do not drive
• Have no access to transportation from family, friends or NIHB transportation services.

This approach allows staff to prioritize those who truly require in-home care due to physical or logistical limitations.

Whenever possible, clients are encouraged to attend appointments in the clinic. The clinic setting allows for the most hygienic, efficient, and comprehensive care, while also enabling staff to serve a greater number of community members each day.
