SUPPORTING COMMUNITY HEALING: MCA DONATES TO THE HEAL LODGE

On November 6, 2025, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne proudly presented a cheque in the amount of $117,600 to the Haudenosaunee Everlasting Academy of Learning (HEAL) Lodge, strengthening their mission to provide a traditional healing space for the community.

Owned by knowledge holders Eddie Gray and Della Adams, the HEAL Lodge is dedicated to fostering a community that is culturally knowledgeable, healthy in the mind, body, and spirit, and who is also empowered in maintaining a balance within their lives and all of creation.

The HEAL Lodge offers a wide range of services rooted in traditional knowledge and practices, including healing sessions, reading sessions, massage therapy, medicine walks, ceremonial teachings, traditional medicines, a sweat lodge, and more.

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is honored to support the HEAL Lodge’s vision and the invaluable services it provides to the community. We extend our best wishes to the HEAL Lodge as they continue their important work of nurturing wellness, cultural strength, and balance for generations to come.
