MCA FOCUS MEETING FOR MARCH 2026

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Focus Meeting will take place on Enniskó:wa/March 26, 2026, at the Tsi Snaihne Recreation Center, beginning at 6:00 p.m.   

This month’s meeting will spotlight the Akwesasne Child Rights and Responsibilities Law, Eniethihswanón:na. Community members will receive an overview of the law’s origins, a progress update on ALEPR Phases I and II, forthcoming Phase III community consultations, a preview of Phases IV and V, and a concluding Q&A session. 

The Focus Meeting is meant to encourage open, productive conversation between the Eniethihswanón:na Working Task Group, the Akwesasne Justice Department, and the Akwesasne community. Please note that this forum is not intended for filing service complaints, grievances, or discussing personnel or personal matters. Any concerns of that nature raised during the meeting will be directed to the Akwesasne Justice Department Director.
