Community Support Program

Community Support Program

The Community Support Program (CSP) is designed to assist individuals and families facing financial hardship and employment challenges. Our goal is to provide temporary support during difficult times, offering financial assistance and resources to help individuals regain stability and enhance their employability. While the program supports individuals through tough situations, it is ultimately the responsibility of the individual to seek long-term employment.

CSP Services Include:
  • Financial Assistance: Support for individuals and families facing a loss of income or financial difficulty.
  • Supplemental Assistance: Depending on circumstances, additional support may be provided for:
  • Pregnancy Items & Layettes
  • Special Needs & Disability Supplements
  • Child Care Costs & Temporary Child Care
  • Funeral & Burial Expenses
  • Assistive Devices, Guide Dogs, and Special Diets

Employment Assistance Program (EAP):

The EAP is a supplementary service offered as a last resort when other funding sources, such as AAMB or AMBE, have been exhausted. It aims to help individuals access training opportunities, employment startup support, and work-related equipment, including transportation.

EAP services include:

  • Training Opportunities & Participation
  • Employment Startup Support
  • Trades Equipment (e.g., safety boots)
  • Transportation to Iohahi:io Akwesasne Education & Training Facility
  • WHIMIS & First Aid/CPR Training
