BUILDING CONNECTIONS, ONE TEDDY BEAR AT A TIME

On September 3, 2026, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service (AMPS) made another special visit to the Kawehno:ke Child Care Center, bringing along some AMPS teddy bears for the children.

Community Service Officer Nathan Thompson and Constable Dakota Thompson spent time connecting with the children and getting to know them while handing out the AMPS teddy bears. The visit gave children an opportunity to interact with members of AMPS in a fun and welcoming setting, helping build positive connections between officers and the youngest members of our community.

With plenty of smiles, laughter, and new teddy bear to take home, the visit was a fun and memorable experience for all.
