GATHERING OUR STRENGTH: TALKING CIRCLES

The Akwesasne Family Wellness Program invites community members to join Gathering Our Strength, a monthly talking circle offering a safe, supportive, and confidential space for connection, reflection, and healing.

Starting June 15, these circles are open to all and provide an opportunity to share, listen, and learn in a respectful environment. Discussions will focus on human and sex trafficking, as well as Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples (MMIP), with an emphasis on education, healing, and supporting healthy living.

Support is available for individuals who have experienced trafficking, as well as for families who may be impacted by MMIP. Participants are welcome to engage at their own comfort level.
