AKWE:KON ENSKA

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service is proud to introduce a new initiative that reflects our shared commitment to unity, respect, and community partnership. Our police vehicles will now display stickers bearing the message “Akwe:kon enska,” meaning “to gather as one.”

This message represents more than words, it is a reminder that a strong, safe community is built through connection, trust, and collaboration. While our role is to uphold and enforce the law, we recognize that we cannot do it alone. Community involvement, through reporting incidents, sharing information, and supporting one another is essential to keeping everyone safe.

These stickers symbolize our dedication to working together as one community, grounded in our language, culture, and shared values. They serve as an open invitation to strengthen relationships and enhance unity between the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service and the community we serve.

We are also pleased to share that these stickers will be available to community members. We encourage you to stop by and visit us whenever we have a table set up at local community events. Come connect with us, learn more about this initiative, and pick up your own sticker as a sign of unity.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we gather as one. Akwe:kon enska.
