ARAP WINTER CLOTHING INITIATIVE: APPLICATIONS CLOSED & PICKUP DETAILS
Please be advised that the Akwesasne Representative & Advocacy Program 2026 Winter Clothing Initiative deadline has now passed and applications are no longer being accepted at this time.
Applicants may pick up their approval letter beginning October 27, 2026. Due to the high number of applicants this year, all applicants must sign for their letters in person. If you are unable to pick up your letter yourself and need someone else to pick it up for you, please notify Sarah in advance by email arap-winterclothing@akwesasne.ca or by calling/texting 613-662-4513.
Pick-up Times & Locations:
Justice Administration Building | 45 Johnson Road, Kana:takon
- October 27, 2026 — 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- October 29, 2026 — 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
ARAP Office | 55 Water Street West, Cornwall, ON, Unit 200 (Second Floor)
- October 28, 2026 — 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- October 30, 2026 — 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
To reduce the number of shoppers in IBC, and to allow the staff time to restock, shopping start dates will be staggered into groups.
- First shopping date: November 2, 2026
- New groups: A new group will be released to start shopping every 4 days
- Your start date: You may begin shopping on your assigned start date or any time after. You do not need to shop on the first day you are permitted.
Your approval letter will provide the information you need. Please bring your letter with you whenever you shop.
Reminders:
- You do not need to purchase everything at once.
- You may continue shopping until January 31, 2027, or until you have spent your approved amount.
- Shopping ends on January 31, 2027.
