BMO DONATION SUPPORTS AKWESASNE STORM MINOR LACROSSE

On June 23, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne was pleased to welcome representatives from the Bank of Montreal (BMO) to the A’nowara’kó:wa Arena on Kawehnò:ke for a presentation in support of the Akwesasne Storm Minor Lacrosse Association.

Troy Lalonde and Dominic Marceau, members of the BMO investment advisory team, presented a $150,000 donation, to be distributed over five years, which was accepted by AMLA President Rhonda Aldrich and Girls Team Director Cheyenne Lazore on behalf of the association.

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne extends sincere appreciation to BMO for this meaningful investment in our community. Contributions such as this help strengthen opportunities for youth engagement in sport, recreation, culture, and community programming, while reflecting the important role external partners can play in supporting and investing in the next generation.
