CELEBRATING KEN’NIIOHONTÉSHA AT AVONMORE BERRY FARM

On June 29, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Health Promotion & Prevention Program hosted a strawberry picking event at the Avonmore Berry Farm, bringing Akwesasró:non together to enjoy the outdoors, spend time with family and friends, while harvesting fresh strawberries. 

Participants spent the sunny morning outdoors while learning practical tips for staying safe. At the end of the event, participants left with fresh strawberries to take home and enjoy with their families along with safety kits.
