COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES WELCOMES NEW PREVENTION SPECIALIST, ROBYN LEROUX

The MCA Department of Health’s Community Health Services (CHS) would like to extend a warm welcome to its new Prevention Specialist, Robyn Leroux. Robyn joins the Health Promotion & Prevention team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into her new role within Community Health Services.

Robyn was born and raised in Cornwall, ON. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She also completed a graduate certificate in Victimology from Algonquin College. Her background is primarily in social services, where she previously designed and facilitated group workshops for both victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. She also led interactive sessions for children and adults, delivering presentations and hands-on learning activities, and provided one-on-one support to those affected by trauma, crime, and tragic circumstances.

Throughout her professional career, Robyn has been dedicated to trauma-informed, client-centred care, recognizing that safety, trust, and cultural relevance are critical for building meaningful connections.

When not at work, Robyn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, experimenting with new recipes, and travelling. She is extremely excited to be a part of the Health Promotion & Prevention team and is looking forward to what’s to come.

Please join us in welcoming Robyn to the Health Promotion & Prevention team!
