CORNWALL ORANGE SHIRT DAY 2025

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is collaborating with the Native North American Travelling College, the City of Cornwall, and Children's Aid Society to hold an event of reflection and learning in honour of Orange Shirt Day. The event will take place on September 30, 2025 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Lamoureux Park, Cornwall. More information will be shared closer to the event.

Indigenous vendors welcome (no cost) — to register please email julia.benedict@akwesasne.ca. Vendors, please register by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23. Please note that all unregistered vendors coming to this event will be asked to leave to maintain compliance with City of Cornwall By-Laws.

Orange t-shirts will be available for purchase throughout September at both the Cornwall Civic Complex and the Benson Centre for $20 each. Sizes range from Youth (XS–XL) to Adult (XS–4XL), and all proceeds will go to support the Akwesasne Freedom School.
