ONTARIO LACROSSE ASSOCIATION PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT SUPPORT

The MCA Department of Community & Social Services (DCSS) will be providing financial assistance to help with some of the costs for children from Akwesasne attending the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) Provincial Tournament, which will be held throughout the Durham Region from July 31 – August 9, 2026.

This support will assist 20 participating Akwesasne teams in the tournament, including boys’ and girls’ teams ranging from U9 to U22.

While this support is being provided specifically for the OLA Provincial Tournament, MCA is also working toward a broader funding initiative that will help support youth participation in a variety of activities and programs in the future.

DCSS is committed to exploring sustainable ways to provide more equitable support for Akwesasne families. Additional information regarding this initiative will be shared as it becomes available.
