DCSS WELCOMES NEW COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER, AUTUMN BENEDICT

The MCA Department of Community & Social Services (DCSS) is pleased to welcome Autumn Benedict as its new Communications Officer.

Autumn has been a valued member of the MCA Department of Communications team since February 2025, where she served in an acting capacity and supported the organization through event coverage, multimedia storytelling, and digital communications.

In her new role with DCSS, Autumn will provide dedicated communications support to programs within the department, including Akwesasne Child & Family Services, Akwesasne Family Wellness Program, and the Community Support Program.

A lifelong member of Akwesasne, Autumn is the daughter of Tony and Jill Benedict. She attended Salmon River High School before continuing her education at Buffalo State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production with a minor in Indigenous Studies in 2025.

During her time with the Department of Communications, Autumn has captured and shared stories that highlighted MCA’s culture, community, programs, and events through photography, videography, and engaging digital content. Her creativity, storytelling skills, and passion for community engagement will continue to be valuable assets as she supports DCSS and the important work of its programs.

Please join us in congratulating Autumn on her new role and welcoming her to the DCSS team!
