IAKHIHSOHTHA LODGE RECRUITING LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES

The MCA Department of Health's Iakhihsohtha Lodge is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join its team. Applications are now being accepted for the following positions:

• One (1) one-year term position
• One (1) three-month term position (with the possibility of extension)
• Two (2) casual positions (day and evening shift availability required)

Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licence and membership in good standing with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ), or be willing to obtain one.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in long-term care is preferred, with knowledge of nursing care practices and techniques for older adults.
• Current CPR (Health Care Provider Level) and Standard First Aid certification.
• Current immunizations, including Hepatitis B and Influenza.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (or equivalent criminal background check acceptable for employment in Quebec).
• Knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC) is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and team management skills.
• Good physical health.
• Knowledge of the Akwesasne community, Mohawk culture, and the Mohawk language are considered assets.
