END-OF-LIFE CARE SERVICES: COMMUNITY SURVEY & EDUCATION SESSIONS

The MCA Department of Health (DOH), in consultation with the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, will be seeking community input to guide the development of respectful, culturally appropriate, and accessible End-of-Life Care Services for community members and their families. 

DOH will be hosting a series of education sessions throughout the month of May as well as conducting a community survey gauging knowledge and acquiring feedback in regard to End-of-Life services.

The community education sessions will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on the following dates:

• Wednesday, May 6 at Kawehno:ke Recreation Center
• Tuesday, May 12 at Snye Recreation Center
• Friday, May 22 at St. Regis Recreation Center 

Mental Health Services staff will be on hand for any community who may need support during the education sessions.
