AKWESASRONON BIOCULTURAL FRAMEWORK INFO SESSION

Our environment, waterways and lands are an important part of who we are as Akwesasronon. Join the MCA Environment Program and its partners at an upcoming information session to learn about the Akwesasronon Biocultural Framework and how community voices can help shape environmental protection and restoration efforts in Akwesasne.

The framework was developed to address a gap in the St. Lawrence River Area of Concern Remedial Action Plan (RAP), which works to address the impacts of historical environmental harm in and around Akwesasne. Akwesasronon knowledge, perspectives and experiences are essential to this work, and community participation is encouraged!
