SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE ON THE LAND THIS SPRING

The MCA Environment Program is seeking Kanien’kéha language speakers and an individual with experience in plant identification to take part in an upcoming Family Camping Adventure at Thousand Islands National Park in May!

We’re looking for fluent or conversational speakers to help weave Kanien’kéha into camp life — through activities, stories, songs, and everyday conversation. Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or just beginning to share what you know, your presence makes a difference.

In addition, the Environment Program is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging individual with experience in plant identification to lead a guided hike during the camp, sharing insights on local plant species, their characteristics, and significance within the natural environment.

Camp Details:
Date: May 20, 2026
Location: Thousand Islands National Park – Mallorytown Landing
Group size: Five families

Some camp activities include fishing, nature journaling, plant walk hike, yoga, and more.
