GARBAGE PICK-UP DAY CHANGE FOR KAWEHNO:KE WEST END RESIDENTS

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and D&R Disposal would like to inform residents on the West End of Kawehno:ke that garbage collection will move from Saturdays to Fridays, starting Friday, October 31, 2025. 

Why the change?

This update allows D&R Disposal complete collection across Kawehno:ke in a single day, rather than over two. It also supports more timely and consistent service for all households and helps reduce the chance of missed pickups in the West End. 

➡️ Please ensure all garbage is placed curbside on Friday mornings by 8:00 a.m.

🚫 Note: This change does not apply to James Lane or Kawehno:ke Apartment Road Subdivision — collection for these areas remain on Wednesdays.
