HOT WEATHER REMINDER

With high temperatures and humidity expected today, Tuesday, July 14, community members are encouraged to take precautions to stay safe during the heat.

Heat Safety Tips:
  • Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
  • Limit outdoor activities and stay in the shade or indoors whenever possible.
  • Stay in air-conditioned spaces when you can.
  • Check in on elders, neighbours, and those who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
  • Keep pets cool and ensure they have access to fresh water.

Heat-related illness can become serious very quickly. If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms such as confusion, fainting, difficulty breathing, or loss of consciousness, don't wait — seek emergency assistance immediately.
