FERMENTATION & FOOD PRESERVATION WORKSHOP SERIES

The MCA Department of Health’s Land-Based Healing (LBH) Program is partnering with Akwesasne Child & Family Services (ACFS) to offer a Food Fermentation & Preservation Workshop Series led by Leora Charles of TLC Catering. Beginning November 7, workshops will take place every Saturday throughout November. 

Participants will explore a variety of topics and practices, including:

• Food fermentation and preservation
• Reducing household and community food waste
• No-waste harvesting practices
• Environmental responsibility and community food stewardship 

Workshops will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Whoville House, located at 90 Whoville Road in Tsi Snaihne.
