HANDS-ON SURVIVAL SKILLS WORKSHOP: LEARNING FROM THE LAND

Community members came together for a two-day, land-based Survival Skills Workshop led by Angello Johnson of Good Mind Design!

Made possible by the Akwesasne Family Wellness Program, Akwesasró:non learned practical skills to help in emergency situations and changing environmental conditions. From fire-making and shelter-building to plant identification, navigation, and water purification, each session focused on hands-on learning, giving participants the chance to practice and build their skills. Participants left the workshop with a better understanding of survival techniques and a stronger connection to the land.

Nia:wen to Angello Johnson and everyone who contributed to making this workshop possible.
