MCA ANNOUNCES NEW FINANCE MANAGER

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Delormier as Finance Manager. 

Lisa brings more than two decades of financial and administrative experience, including over thirteen years of service with the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to financial accountability and organizational excellence. 

Since joining MCA, Lisa has served as Payroll Officer, Financial Analyst, Acting Comptroller and Acting Finance Manager. Throughout these roles, she has provided oversight of financial operations, supported audits and compliance activities, contributed to organizational planning, supported staff development, and worked closely with leadership and departments across the organization. 

Lisa’s professional background includes a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) designation, a Business Administration in Accounting Diploma and a Human Resources Certificate. She also holds PCP and PLP professional payroll designations from the National Payroll Institute. Her combination of financial expertise, leadership experience and knowledge of First Nations governance provides a strong foundation for her new role. 

As Finance Manager, Lisa will oversee the organization’s financial operations and continue to support sound financial practices, accountability, transparency and responsible stewardship of community resources. She will also work collaboratively with leadership and departments to support MCA’s overall mission and priorities.
