CALLING ALL ELDERS: SHARE YOUR STORIES ABOUT THE SEAWAY

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Akwesasne Rights & Research Office (ARRO) is gathering stories and memories about the Seaway and how it has affected our land, water, and community. We are reaching out to Elders who lived through this time and are willing to share their experiences.

Informal conversations can take place at the MCA Administration #1 Building in Kana:takon. If preferred, ARRO can also meet with you at a location where you feel most comfortable. Elders who take part will receive an honorarium in line with MCA guidelines.

If you are an Elder who would like to participate, please contact ARRO to arrange a time and place that works best for you. Your knowledge and memories are important to our community.

For more information or to take part, please contact brayden.white@akwesasne.ca or arro@akwesasne.ca. You can also reach ARRO by phone at 613-575-2250 ext. 3192.
