CELEBRATING THE SEASON TOGETHER: FESTIVE FINALE AT KAWEHNO:KE REC
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne wrapped up this year’s Community Holiday Dinner series on Monday, December 15 at the Kawehno:ke Recreation Center. Community members gathered to enjoy an evening of good company, festive cheer, and a delicious meal prepared by Island Girlz Catering. Santa Claus visited for photos and greetings with families, making Kawehno:ke his final holiday stop before heading back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas. 🎅
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, to all the caterers who contributed to the holiday dinners, and to MCA staff who volunteered to make each evening memorable. Each of the three dinners featured a lucky winner who received a beautiful basket lovingly crafted by Ann Mitchell and generously donated by the DOH Mental Health & Wellness Sector.
