On Friday, June 26, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) gathered at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort to recognize and celebrate employees during its annual Long Service Recognition & Retirement Awards.
The event honoured staff members who have reached significant years of service, as well as those beginning a new chapter in retirement. Each recipient was presented with a certificate and commemorative gifts, including handcrafted items created by local artisans, in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the organization.
Grand Chief Leonard Lazore and Executive Director Shannon Roundpoint shared their appreciation for the commitment, professionalism, and compassion demonstrated by MCA employees, acknowledging the important role they play in supporting the programs and services that benefit the Akwesasne community.
