PAWSITIVE STEPS TOWARDS PET HEALTH

The recent Pet Vaccine Clinic held in Akwesasne on August 22 was a great success, thanks to the wonderful collaboration between the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society and the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Compliance Program. 

Held at the Kawehno:ke Recreation Center, the clinic provided community members with access to essential vaccinations for their beloved pets. A total of 65 pets received vaccinations, including rabies and core vaccines, helping to keep cats and dogs throughout the community healthy and protected. 

The MCA Compliance Program extends a heartfelt niawenhkó:wa to the veterinarians, organizers, and volunteers whose hard work, compassion, and dedication made this clinic possible.  

Together, we are taking meaningful steps to keep Akwesasne’s pets healthy, safe, and protected.
