MCA SUMMER STUDENT MASTERCLASS 2026
In August, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s (MCA) Human Resources Program hosted the MCA Summer Student Masterclass, bringing together the organization’s 2026 Summer Students for two days of learning, networking, and career development. Through interactive workshops, networking activities, and guest speakers, participants gained valuable skills, built professional connections, and developed confidence to support their next steps.
Students had the opportunity to hear from Peter Garrow of Entewatathá:wi, who spoke about the importance of self-governance, colonization, and community. Participants also reflected on their summer employment experiences by sharing their accomplishments and key takeaways on interactive Brag Boards.
The Masterclass successfully celebrated student achievements while encouraging career exploration, professional growth, and community engagement. Nia:wen to all those who participated in the networking activity and shared their experiences, helping students build connections, explore career opportunities, and prepare for their future journeys.
