NEW DATE FOR COMMUNITY CONSULTATION SESSION: AKWESASNE CHILD RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES LAW, ENIETHIHSWANÓN:NA

The Akwesasne Child Rights and Responsibilities Law, Eniethihswanón:na, Working Task Group (WTG), has rescheduled the Kawehno:ke District Community Consultation session for: 

Date: Monday, June 15
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Location: AMBE Building Blocks (191 Rita Lane, Kawehno:ke) 

These sessions are part of Phase III of the Akwesasne Legislative Enactment Procedural Regulation (ALEPR) and provide an opportunity for community members to share their comments, questions, and concerns regarding the current draft of the law. 

In addition to these meetings, the WTG will continue outreach through local events, schools, Senior Centers, and other community spaces to ensure voices from all age groups and all areas of Akwesasne are heard.  

Once the final consultation session is scheduled, a deadline for submitting comments will be announced, with a minimum of four weeks’ notice.
