PUBLIC NOTICE: ROAD WORK IN KANA:TAKON & TSI SNAIHNE

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Infrastructure, Housing and Environment (DIHE) would like to inform the travelling public that work has been scheduled in Kana:takon on Sweetgrass Lane and Johnson Road, and in Tsi Snaihne on Snye School Road.

The work will involve CCTV inspection of existing sanitary and storm sewer networks along these roadways. This investigation is being completed to support future road reconstruction design work.

Work is expected to begin on Monday, June 15, and may continue into Tuesday, June 16, depending on progress.

During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane in the affected areas. Flag persons will be on site to direct traffic safely through the work zones. Motorists are asked to exercise caution when travelling through these areas and to allow extra time for potential delays.
