RESPECTING AKWESASNE LAWS WHILE ON THE TERRITORY

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) reminds all individuals, organizations, media representatives, contractors and visitors that while conducting activities within the territory, they are expected to respect and comply with all applicable Akwesasne laws, regulations and requirements. 

Individuals are responsible for ensuring they have any required permissions or authorizations before conducting activities in Akwesasne and must respect any restrictions that may apply to specific locations, facilities or activities. This includes activities involving the use of drones or other equipment.  

Akwesasne is our home and community. MCA asks all those entering or conducting activities within the territory to respect our laws, our people, and the safety and privacy of community members. 

MCA appreciates the cooperation of community members and visitors in ensuring activities within Akwesasne are carried out respectfully and responsibly.
