SAVE THE DATE: ARAP WINTER CLOTHING INITIATIVE
The Akwesasne Representative & Advocacy Program (ARAP) will open registration for its Winter Clothing Initiative during MCA Service Day on Thursday, August 20. Stop by the A’nowara’kó:wa Arena between 2:00–6:00 p.m. to register in person!
The initiative supports Akwesasró:non youth ages 17 and under who have a Mohawks of Akwesasne status card, as well as post-secondary students up to age 26 who have both a Mohawks of Akwesasne status card and proof of enrollment.
Online applications will also open at 2:00 p.m. on August 20. Stay tuned for the application link.

What status card is required?
Applicants must have a Mohawks of Akwesasne status card. St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Cards and status cards issued by other First Nations or communities will not be accepted.
Are infants covered under their parent or guardian?
Yes. Children under one (1) year of age are covered under their parent or guardian.
What qualifies as proof of enrollment for post-secondary students?
Post-secondary students must provide a letter from their college or university confirming that they are enrolled in part- or full-time courses.
